If you’re not sure where to start, we’re here to help with a few tips to help you quickly and easily, store, clean and care for your favorite pieces.
1. Store your jewelry in a clean, dry space.
This seems like an obvious tip, but at the end of the day, we’ve all been guilty of tossing our jewelry in a drawer or on the nightstand. It’s best to store individually in the anti-tarnish airtight case you received the item in. This will limit exposure to air and moisture and also prevent scratching and tangling. Also, if you have a jewelry case that has compartments and dividers, you can also store them there.
2. Avoid damaging chemicals.
Direct contact with hairspray, lotions, and perfumes can be damaging to your favorite pieces over time. Even precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum are especially susceptible to discoloration from these everyday care products over time. When getting ready in the morning or preparing for a night out, set your jewelry aside, or better yet, leave your jewelry in its case until you’re ready to wear it.
3. Use mild cleaners for regular cleanings.
One of the best jewelry cleaning methods involves warm water, very mild dish soap, and a soft micro fiber cloth. You don’t need to use this method after each wear. However, after each wear you can use the soft microfiber cloth received in your package, to gently wipe off any dirt buildup on your favorite pieces before storing away.
